Elena’s practice focus is on health care compliance, drafting and negotiating health care related contracts, and drafting fraud and abuse and HIPAA compliance programs. She advises health care clients on compliance issues arising under the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law, HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, and Medicare reimbursement regulations. She also advises health care clients on Peer Review activities and Medicare and Medicaid investigations, audits and exclusion. Elena’s practice focus is also on insurance law. She advises both health and property and casualty insurers on regulatory issues arising under state and federal law, and coverage and policy interpretation.
