  • Representing Humana Inc. in merger and acquisition activities involving health maintenance organizations, Medicare Advantage organizations (including Medicare Part D) and other health insurance entities. Work includes licensure and regulatory advice, government contracting support, litigation support and guidance on matters including ERISA, intellectual property, immigration, Medicare Part D, HIPAA, employment, and tax planning and tax controversy.

  • Regularly acquiring and divesting assisted living facilities for Atria Senior Living, which is among the largest assisted and independent living communities in the United States. Atria has engaged our services to finance its growth, development and operations through various private and pubic lending sources. We advise Atria on health care-related regulatory compliance issues and on ERISA matters. We also have represented Atria in connection with its employment related litigation, and have consulted on wage and hour matters, union organization activities and other labor related issues.

  • Litigation services in relation to insurance policy coverage and interpretation issues.
